Verse.4 when David and his men returned, and found their families gone, they were so distressed, they wept till they could weep no more.

It is possible that because of this current corona virus scare, many of us may be so distressed, so afraid of impendent danger and possible death, that we even do not have any more strength in us to pray.

Verse.6 to make matters worse, David’s men turned against him and were talking of stoning him

But David found strength in the Lord his God.

Friends, when everything seems to be falling some of the best medical services in the world have not helped much in countries like Italy, Spain etc And the disease has even come closer to us. Let us find our strength in the Lord, Let God be our refuge and strength. For he is our ever present help In times of trouble (Psalms 46:1).

Verse.8 ‘’…. Then David inquired of the Lord…’’

Friends, more than before, this is the time to seek God for his presence and his help

Finally:-

– We as your clergy are praying with and for you

-Keep safe

-Take precautions eg frequent hand washing with soap, avoid crowds, avoid shaking hands and hugs and when sick please seek medical advice.

-Meditate on Psalms 91
