Building God’s Church Holistically (both in body and in the Spirit)

15TH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY, SUNDAY OF 9th SEPTEMBER 2018

Today we come together as St. Luke’s Family to celebrate the goodness of the Lord.

The Psalmist says, “O give thanks to the Lord, for the Lord is good, His mercy endures forever…” (Psalms 100:4, 5).

Among the businesses that we need to accomplish for the Lord, is the building of our southern wall and the gate. According to Nehemiah, the Children of Israel were urged to build the wall of Jerusalem when he said,

“…and for the wall of the city and for the house that I shall enter into…” (Nehemiah 2:8). Therefore, as the St. Luke’s community together with our dear friends and families we join together to fundraise towards building God’s house holistically, that is, both in the body and in the Spirit.  “Give and it shall be given unto you, good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over, shall men give into your blossom. For with the same measure that you give with as it shall be measured to you again”. (Luke 6:38).

In Conclusion, I would like to thank you all for the efforts you continue to make to serve God and also welcome you all in a special way to participate once again in giving holistically in the mighty name of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ, Amen

Be blessed forever.

Udongo Albert Festus (Rev. Canon)
