On Sunday, 15th November 2025, the Youth Ministry of St. Luke’s Chapel took the Gospel to the shores of Lido Beach for the annual “Church at the Beach” outreach. More than 80 enthusiastic youth and leaders turned up, ready to experience God’s love in a refreshing and fun-filled environment.
Anchored on the theme scripture 1 Timothy 4:8 — “For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come” — the day beautifully blended recreation with spiritual nourishment.

The programme was packed with exciting beach activities: swimming, volleyball knockouts, soccer matches, board games, and plenty of laughter. The aroma of delicious food filled the air as everyone shared a hearty meal together, strengthening bonds of friendship and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Worship and a Powerful Word from Rev. Dr. Richard Byaruhanga
After the games, the youth settled under the shade of palm trees for an uplifting time of praise and worship led by the youth worship team. The atmosphere was electric as voices rose in song against the backdrop of crashing waves.
The highlight of the day was the inspiring message delivered by our Associate Chaplain and Youth Pastor, Reverend Doctor Richard Byaruhanga. With his characteristic passion and fatherly wisdom, Rev. Dr. Byaruhanga encouraged the young people to invest not only in physical fitness and enjoyment (which are good), but above all in training their spirits through prayer, studying the Word, and living a life fully surrendered to Christ. He reminded everyone that while the joys of this world are temporary, godliness carries eternal reward. Many youth were deeply touched, with several rededicating their lives to Jesus and others testifying of renewed commitment to walk closely with God.
