We give thanks to God for a spirit-filled Father’s Union Sunday at St. Luke’s Chapel, Mulago. The day was marked with joyful celebration, heartfelt worship, and a powerful message delivered by Mr. Tumusiime, who called all men to rise up as godly examples in our homes, church, and community.
✝️ Sermon Highlights
Galatians 6:6–10 – Sowing in the Spirit
Mr. Tumusiime reminded us that we reap what we sow. Fathers were encouraged to sow seeds of faith, integrity, and love, and not to grow weary in doing good. The harvest, he reminded us, comes in due season to those who persist. Psalm 15 – Living a Blameless Life
The message outlined the character of a man who can dwell in God’s holy presence—one who speaks the truth, keeps promises, honors the Lord, and walks righteously. A call was made to live lives marked by integrity in both private and public spheres.
Matthew 5:43–48 – The Call to Radical Love
Quoting Jesus’ words, “Love your enemies,” the preacher emphasized that Christian fatherhood must reflect God’s perfect love. Forgiveness, humility, and peacemaking were identified as pillars of godly leadership.
A Charge to Fathers
“What legacy are you leaving behind as a father?”
Mr. Tumusiime challenged every father to be a spiritual pillar in their home, a voice of justice in society, and a vessel of love in the church. Let us be known not just by name, but by the Christlike lives we lead.
We celebrate and honor all fathers of our church family. May God continue to strengthen and guide you as you serve faithfully.
