Assistant Bishop for the Diocese of Kampala Visits St.Luke’s Chapel Mulago

On Sunday, July 6, 2025, our church joyfully welcomed the Assistant Archbishop of Uganda, The Rt. Rev. Canon Jackson Fredrick Baalwa, who officiated a memorable confirmation service. The event was centered around the theme “Growing in the Grace of Doing Good,” inspired by 2 Peter 1:5–11, encouraging believers to embody Christ-like virtues in their daily lives.

Event Highlights

  • Confirmation Ceremony: Five members of our congregation were confirmed into the Anglican faith, marking a significant step in their spiritual journey.
  • Inspirational Sermon: The Assistant Archbishop delivered a powerful sermon emphasizing the importance of cultivating goodness, perseverance, and love, aligning with the day’s theme.
  • Community Engagement: The service fostered a sense of unity and commitment among congregants, inspiring many to actively participate in community service and church activities.

This event not only strengthened our faith community but also aligned with the Church of Uganda’s 2025 theme, “Imitating God’s goodness by doing good,” as referenced in Galatians 6:9 .
