THEME: “RENEW YOUR LIFE” (2 Cor 5:17)

Rev Grace Lubaale

4th SUNDAY OF ADVENT, SUNDAY 22nd DECEMBER 2019

You are most welcome for today’s service in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.
This is the last Sunday in the Advent and next to Christmas as we commemorate the birth of Christ. We are sharing today the need to renew our lives from the past to better new things as we wait Christmas.
We need to move away from sexual immorality, impurity,, debauchery, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, envy, drunkardness and orgies (Gal 5:19-21) which are destroying our lives both spiritual and physical and if we have any burden or challenges in respect of the above, then take them to Christ our Lord and Master. Mathew 11:28
To do so, we need to practice the message of living and growing as a Christian which involves majorly five things; Prayer, Bible study, Fellowship, Discipleship, and witnessing/ life style enshrined the life style of Christ.
The Evidence that we are moving in the right direction of living and growing as a Christian to become new people as by evidence of the fruits of the Holy Spirit in us; Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Humility, and Self Control (Gal 5:22-23)
Therefore as it is written that “if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, the old is gone, the new has come” 2Cor 5:17, let us endeavour to renew our lives and become a new creation both in body and spirit as we await the coming of the Lord. GOD BLESS.
