BUILDING GOD’S CHURCH HOLISTICALLY BOTH IN SPIRIT AND BODY (Neh. 9:17)

10TH SUNDAY AFTER TRINITY, SUNDAY OF 5th AUGUST 2018

You are most welcome for today’s service in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Our topic today is building God’s church holistically (both in Spirit and body)

This being our first Sunday of the month, we also come with our Tithes and to give thanks. Giving thanks  to God because of His grace, favour and blessings over our life, work ministry and the institution of Mulago Hospital is Biblical, right, Just prudent and very Christian (Due. 8:18) god has indeed blessed and increased our spiritual, Numerical, Financial and infrastructural growth of the church.

According to Mark 12:28-34, the greatest commandment is to love God and love fellow human beings. So what we need most in life is not money or food or clothing, or even shelter but it is LOVE.

If we can love God as we ought to and also love our fellow human beings a we love ourselves the other things that we need in life will automatically be ours!! (Matthew 6:33, 34)

It is also a Christian duty to build the physical church as evident when Nehemiah told the Israelites, “Jerusalem lies in ruins… come, let us build the walls of Jerusalem, and that we may no longer suffer distress (Neh. 2:17).

A good physical church building and its environment is one of the signs of Spiritual growth. It also shows that the Christians love their God ! Therefore let us continues to offer/ pledge port of our, wealth to build God’s church. Furthermore, it should be known that ever you has a role in building God’s church, for  it is a collective responsibility.

Remember, whoever sows sparingly will also reap, sparingly and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

Each one must give as he/she has decided in his/her heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion but genuinely for God loves a cheerful give (2Cor. 9:6-7).

In Conclusion, let us continue to give generously with a thankful heart. Also remain in love; Love god and one another with all manner of sincerity.

Blessings to all in Christ Jesus.
